Those who go outside should dress in layers to keep warm and to avoid hypothermia and frostbite. Also, if it’s too cold for people outdoors, it’s too cold for pets, the Humane Society of Greater Dayton advises. Keep pets inside during cold weather. If pets cannot come inside, provide a dry, draft-free shelter and maintain access to non-frozen drinking water.

Tonight will be breezy with increasing clouds and a chance of snow after midnight. Lows will be around 7 degrees, though wind chills of zero to minus five degrees will be possible. Snow accumulations of less than half an inch are possible.
On Thursday, it will be cloudy with light winds and a chance of snow in the morning. Again, the NWS predicted less than half an inch of new snow accumulation. Highs will be around 33 degrees.
Overnight, it will be breezy, with gradually decreasing clouds and lows around 22 degrees.
Clouds will increase further on Friday as temperatures rise to around 39 degrees.
On Friday night, it will be breezy with increasing clouds and a chance of rain before midnight and showers likely in the early-morning hours. Temperatures won’t fall much overnight, with lows around 34 degrees.
