Bitterly cold through Wednesday with single-digit wind chills

A cold front with Arctic air will bring bitterly cold temperatures to the region to to start the workweek.

Today will be partly sunny but cold with highs near 22 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington. Tonight will be partly cloudy as lows fall around 9 degrees.

Single-digit wind chills will make it feel even colder.

On Tuesday, it’ll be mostly cloudy with a slight chance of snow during the day. Highs will be near 19 degrees.

Overnight, it will be partly cloudy as lows fall near 1 below zero. A Cold Weather Advisory will likely be issued for Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, according to the NWS.

Wednesday brings mostly sunny skies with a high of 19 degrees, followed by a mostly overcast Wednesday night as lows drop down to 7 degrees.

Thursday will be a bit warmer with a high of 32 degrees and partly sunny skies. Thursday night will be mostly cloudy but quiet. Temperatures will drop down to 21 degrees for the night.
