Gibson, a 6-3, 302-pound defensive tackle, entered the transfer portal Dec. 9 and committed to Marshall on Jan. 11.

Like Douglass, Gibson redshirted as a freshman in 2019. He appeared in nine games in 2020, totaling five tackles. He had five tackles in seven games last season.

Gibson and Douglass were members of Kentucky’s 2019 recruiting class. As seniors at Springfield, they helped lead the Wildcats to a 9-3 record in 2018 and the first playoff victory of Maurice Douglass’ tenure. Moses is the son of the Springfield head coach.
