HS Roundup 12/18: Raye-Redmond, McIntyre lead Trotwood in rally win

Trotwood-Madison players celebrate after a 37-35 girls high school basketball win at Tippecanoe on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2019. MARC PENDLETON / STAFF

A pair of double-double efforts spurred Trotwood in a 44-35 rally win versus Northmont in girls basketball on Wednesday.

Northmont opened the game on a 14-5 run but Trotwood responded with a 20-4 swing in the second quarter.

Raeven Raye-Redmond recorded 12 points with 10 rebounds and Goddess McIntyre had 10 points with 10 rebounds to lead the way for Trotwood. Quantaijah Huffman added 10 points.

Trotwood moved to 5-2 overall with the victory.

Girls Basketball

Alter 73, Thurgood Marshall 19: Shannon Hamilton paced Alter with 12 points and Lauren Miller and Karlie Romer tacked on 10 apiece.

Ben Logan 48, Indian Lake 42: Savannah Pavoni chipped in 18 points and Lynzee Cronkleton 13 for Ben Logan in a rally victory.

Piqua 54, West Carrollton 24: Tylah Yeomans tallied 15 points with nine rebounds and Aubree Schrubb added 12 points with 15 rebounds to pace Piqua.

Sidney 72, Xenia 48: Allie Stockton scored 18 of her 25 points in the first half to lead Sidney. Lexee Brewer added 17 points with six steals and five assists.

Tecumseh 82, Springfield Shawnee 40: Makenzie Chinn recorded 15 points with five steals to lead four players in double-digit scoring for Tecumseh. Gabrielle Russell added 14, Terah Harness 13 and Emma Garber 12.

Boys Bowling

Lebanon 2389, Northmont 2362: Gabe Taulbee, Andrew Sizemore and Dallas Stone each had a series over 400 to help unbeaten Lebanon win in rally fashion. Josh Hanssen had a 491 series for Northmont.

Middletown 2522, New Miami 992: Matthew Minor finished with a 418 series and James Prater a 411 for Middletown.

Girls Bowling

Jonathan Alder 2411, Ben Logan 2215: Erica Warne posted games of 195 and 223 in a losing effort for Ben Logan.

Northmont 2053, Lebanon 1912: Megan Schaurer tallied a 407 series and Bella Schenck a 365 to lead unbeaten Northmont.

Tecumseh 2326, Indian Lake 1956: Alaina Collins bowled a 209 game, Emma Wurts added a 186 and Hannah Suver a 184 for Tecumseh.
