While the last day of the Ohio State head coach’s suspension for mismanaging an assistant coach was Sunday, Ryan Day still handled the weekly press conference to start the week of preparations for Rutgers.
“Coach came back today and we had a meeting early this morning,” Day said Monday. “He’s been meeting with some of the players. So things are back to normal.
“Obviously he won’t be back for game day, but everything else is back to normal.”
Meyer still isn't allowed to coach the next two games, a continuation of punishment handed down last month.
The Buckeyes take on Rutgers on Saturday before a neutral site game against TCU in Texas on Sept. 15.
Meyer will be back with the team on game day Sept. 22 when Tulane comes to town.
With Day serving as interim coach, Ohio State opened the season with a 77-31 win last Saturday over Oregon State.
