Miami University men’s basketball coach Jack Owens has announced his first signing since his hiring March 29.

Jalen Adaway signed his National Letter of Intent on Wednesday and will begin playing for the RedHawks during the 2017-18 season.

A 6-foot-5 guard, Adaway was a four-year letterwinner at Logansport High School in Logansport, Ind. He averaged 15.7 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 2.5 blocks and 1.1 steals as senior while leading the Berries to a 23-2 record and their first conference championship in 40 years.

The Indianapolis Star named Adaway to the large school all-state team.
