Hiram, which lost 81-61 at Wittenberg on Jan. 6, seized control early in the first half with an 8-0 run, holding Wittenberg scoreless from the 14:32 mark to the 9:22 mark. The Terries led 20-11 and extended the lead to 40-30 at halftime.

Hiram outscored Wittenberg 19-9 in the first five minutes of the second half and dominated the rest of the way.
Mitch Balser led the Tigers with 24 points. He made 6 of 8 3-pointers. Jake Bertemes scored 13. Chad Roy had 11 points.
Wittenberg shot 44.2 percent from the field and made 10 of 21 3-pointers (47.6 percent). The Tigers were out-rebounded 35-22.
Hiram shot 60.3 percent from the field (35 of 58), the best any opponent has shot against Wittenberg this season, and 47.6 percent from 3-point range (10 of 21). Kelvin Jones led Hiram with 25 points.

Wittenberg had already clinched a share of the the North Coast Athletic Conference championship and needs to win one more game to win the title outright or have Wooster lose one more game. The Scots played Ohio Wesleyan on Saturday night.
The Tigers play at third-place Ohio Wesleyan at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. They close the regular season at home against second-place and 23rd-ranked Wooster at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 17.
