• Mechanicsburg bowler Kyle Mayberry was named to the 2012 Dexter/USCB All-American Bowling Team which honors seniors for bowling accomplishments from the current school year, academic achievement and extracurricular and community involvement.
West Liberty-Salem distance runner Megan Vogel demonstration of sportmanship during the OHSAA State Track Meet was selected as June’s Responsible Sports Moment of the Month by the Liberty Mutual Insurance and the Positive Coaching Alliance.
Vogel, who won the 1,600 meter race, helped carry Arden McMath across the finish line during the 3,200m race after McMath had collapsed in the final stretch on June 3.
