Martin caught 41 passes for 622 yards and seven touchdowns as a junior last season for the Wildcats, who had a pair of seniors over 1,000 yards on their run to the state championship game.
He was third on his team but still ninth in the GWOC in receiving yards, and he is No. 3 among the league’s returning receivers behind Dalin Wilkins of Northmont and Teaunn Hunter of Wayne.
Martin recently entered 247Sports rankings as the No. 97 prospect in Ohio, and he also listed offers from Kentucky, Massachusetts and multiple other MAC teams according to 247Sports.
Martin is the first Wildcat from the class of 2024 to commit to an FBS school, though he won’t be the last.
Cornerback Aaron Scott Jr. is among the top-ranked prospects in the state.
When it comes to picking a college to continue his football career, Springfield’s Aaron Scott Jr. has no lack of sources for advice: Family, coaches and even Heisman Trophy winners https://t.co/0QczoySbKd

Scott is still pondering offers from Ohio State, Michigan and Oregon while many of his teammates have also made the rounds this month on the recruiting trail.
Martin is the 10th area player from the ‘24 class to commit to an FBS school.
He joins Wilkins (Eastern Michigan), Centerville safety Reggie Powers III (Michigan State), Trotwood-Madison quarterback Tim Carpenter III (Indiana), Stebbins offensive linemen Jake Wheelock (Cincinnati), Lakota West defensive back Taebron Bennie-Powell (Notre Dame), Lakota West defensive lineman Elijah Davis (Akron), Xenia offensive lineman Gabe Funk (Appalachian State), Trotwood-Madison defensive back Mike Smith (Akron) and Springboro receiver Willizhuan Yates (Ball State).
Last year, 28 area players signed with FBS schools.
