Mary L. Alfrey age 83, of Middletown, Ohio passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2025. She was born on November 16, 1941, the daughter of the late Fred and Lovey (Bogard) Hicks in Dover, Tennessee. Mary was a graduate of Middletown High School and was the 1959 Homecoming Queen. Mary worked for many years as a salesperson at Sears. Mary is survived by her husband, Terry Alfrey; her children, Tim (Carolyn) Melton, Rhonda (David) Jata, David Melton; stepchildren, Chris (Krista) Alfrey and Tracy (Tim) Macy; grandchildren, Jordan (Ryan) Lamping and Erica Melton; her great-grandchildren, Maddox Lamping and Arielle Melton; step grandchildren, Jackson, Braden, Riley, Gavin, Conner, and Carter. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Lovey Hicks; her brother, Freddie Hicks and her sisters, Nell (the late Paul) Tedrow and Linda (Bill) Black.
