The center — the Wright Field North Child Development Center — had been closed for cleaning after a caregiver there tested positive for COVID-19, the base said two days ago.
A base spokesman said Friday the capacity reduction at the center was minor, as the center had been operating under a reduced capacity already.
“The facility is being closed, and the parents are being notified,” the base said earlier this week. “The facility will be deep cleaned prior to reopening. The Wright Field South facility remains open and unaffected. Public health officials are currently conducting contact tracing. "
Parents of the children in the caregiver’s class were notified, and it was recommended that they self-quarantine and monitor their health for 14 days, Wright-Patterson said.
In June, Wright-Patterson had reported three positive cases in the space of some 20 hours at Wright North Field.
Those affected in June had been child care center employees, a base spokesman said then.
