All schools offer either in-person or virtual learning, but some may use hybrid/blended or online learning based of COVID-19 cases in the county.
As of last week, there were 83 new student and staff cases reported at ten Clark County and two Champaign County school districts. Catholic Central, Clark County Educational Service Center, Clark-Shawnee, Global Impact STEM Academy, Greenon, Mechanicsburg, Northeastern, Northwestern, Springfield, Springfield CTC, Tecumseh and Urbana all reported cases.
Before the break, eight districts were using hybrid learning, one district was using remote learning and three districts were using in-school learning.
Here is a list of schools and their expected learning model when students return starting Monday:
- Clark-Shawnee: Students on in-person option will return to school on Jan. 4 using hybrid learning.
- Global Impact STEM Academy: Students will have no school on Jan. 4-5 due to teacher work days; students will use remote learning from Jan. 6-8; and students will return on Jan. 11 with hybrid/blended learning.
- Graham: Students on in-person option will return on Jan. 4 attending classes in-school.
- Greenon: Students on in-person option will return to school on Jan. 4 using hybrid learning through at least Jan. 15.
- Mechanicsburg: Students on in-person option will return on Jan. 5 attending classes in-school as Jan. 4 is a work day.
- Northeastern: Students on in-person option will return on Jan. 4 using hybrid learning through Jan. 29.
- Northwestern: Students on in-person option will return using online learning for the first week from Jan. 4-8, and plan to return in-person on Monday, Jan. 11.
- Southeastern: Students on in-person option will return on Jan. 4 attending classes in-school.
- Springfield: Students on in-person option will return on Jan. 4 attending classes in-school.
- Tecumseh: Students on in-person option will return on Jan. 4 using hybrid learning.
- Triad: Students on in-person option will return on Jan. 4 attending classes in-school.
- Urbana: Students on in-person option will return on Jan. 4 attending classes in-school.
