On Wednesday, a family member that Rollins lives with said he was beating her small dog when she told him to stop and he became irate, according to an affidavit filed in the case.
“(The victim) stated that Rollins began punching her about the head and face while they were inside the house. She stated that she was punched 25 to 30 times,” the affidavit said.
The victim said Rollins also took her new cell phone during the assault before she went outside where he followed her and they continued to argue.
“(The victim) was walking down a large concrete set of stairs in front of her residence. She stated that Rollins came up behind her and punched her in the head, knocking her down. When (the victim) fell down, she hit her head on the bottom concrete step, causing her to lose consciousness,” the affidavit said. “Rollins then fled the area.”
According to the affidavit, the victim was taken to Springfield Regional Medical Center Emergency Room to be treated for severe cuts and swelling on her head and face.
A warrant was requested for Rollins for aggravated robbery and felonious assault.
