A Springfield man was arraigned Thursday in the Clark County Municipal Court on charges stemming from a sexual incident.

Felipe Geovany Gonzalez, 25, pleaded not guilty to unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, according to court records. He was given a $10,000 bond and agreed to submit to a DNA test. He was listed as an inmate in the Clark County Jail as of Thursday afternoon.

Springfield police were sent to Dayton Children’s Hospital on Aug. 5 on a sexual assault report, according to an affidavit filed in the case.

When they arrived, they spoke with the 15-year-old victim and her mother, who said the sexual assault happened on Aug. 4.

The victim told investigators that she met Gonzalez in June when he told her he was 17, the affidavit said.

She told them that she and Gonzalez had sex on numerous times.

“(The victim) and (her mother) both stated that at the end of July, Gonzalez admitted to them that he was actually 23, not 17 like he originally told them. It was at that moment that (the mother) told Gonzalez to stay away from her daughter,” the affidavit said.

A short time later, Gonzalez was arrested for unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, a felony of the third degree, according to the affidavit.
