Around 10 p.m. Saturday, a trooper stopped Allen for failing to use a turn signal and operating a vehicle without a valid driver’s license. During the traffic stop, the trooper noticed “signs of impairment and an open container of alcohol in the vehicle’s cup holder,” which led to Allen’s arrest, according to a news release.
He has prior OVI convictions from 1990, 1994, 1997, 1999, 2000 and felony OVI convictions in 2006 and 2009, officials said.
Allen is scheduled to appear Jan. 17 in Clark County Municipal Court.
