A Phillips television, a Samsung Television and other electronics were taken from a home while its occupants were out, according to a police report.

Springfield police began their investigation when they were dispatched to a home on the 1600 block of Portage Path at around 9 a.m. last Wednesday. They met with an occupant who said he left around midnight and returned at 8 a.m. to find his belongings missing.

“The back door to the enclosed porch was open,” the report says. “Both handles of the door lock were on the floor. The outside portion had a dent in it as though it had been pried off.”

The lock portion was still in place, according to the report. A small sliding lock was also missing from the door, however.

“The Phillips TV was missing from a bedroom and the other items were missing from the living room,” the report says. “The Samsung TV had been wall mounted.”
