Officers were dispatched around 8:15 p.m. on Thursday to Pizza 'N Stuff, 435 W. High St., on a robbery, according to a Springfield police report.

Dispatch told police that a man had robbed the store at gunpoint and then ran south on foot from the business.

When police arrived, they spoke with an employee who said, “she was inside working when the unknown suspect entered through the west side door to the business, brandishing a small silver handgun," the report said.

“(The employee) stated the suspect approached the counter and demanded $150 while pointing the silver handgun at her. This male threaten to shoot her if she did not comply. She then handed the male an unknown amount of U.S. currency and he fled the business on foot."

The employee told police she saw the suspect run south from the business in the parking lot. Police checked the area but were unable to find the man.

According to the report, the suspect is described to be between the age of 28 and 35, 6-foot-0, 130 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes and a mustache/goatee. He was wearing a black do-rag, an orange short sleeve shirt and gray shorts.

No other suspect or witness information was available.

Springfield police continue their investigation into this robbery.
