Officers were dispatched around 6:30 p.m. Monday to Tunnel Drive Thru, 1810 E. Main St., to investigate a robbery, according to a Springfield police report.

When police arrived, they spoke with an employee who said she was working when an unknown man entered the drive-thru and asked her for an “ice beer.”

Officers checked the area but were unable to find the suspect, who they believe is a regular customer, the report stated.

The suspect was believed to be in his late 20s and was last seen wearing dark jeans, a dark jacket with a red and black design with his hood up, and a black face mask covering his face, according to the report.

Springfield police continue their investigation into this crime.
