Artist Leo Hong Mao captures the beauty of a sunflower field in bright sunlight with his paint and canvas Monday, Oct. 2, 2023 at the Yellow Springs sunflower field along U.S. 68. Mao, a former Kettering resident, lives in Columbus and says he has been traveling to Yellow Springs to paint the sunflowers every year since 2007. BILL LACKEY/STAFF
