PHOTOS: Springfield Fire Division Battles Fire on Mulberry Street

The Springfield Fire Division battled a fire in a two story apartment house on Mulberry Street Friday, June 9, 2023. At least four residents lost their home in the blaze and Red Cross was called to assist them. The fire division arrived to find flames coming through the roof. According to Assistant Fire Chief Matt Smith, the stairs had already collapsed so they started attacking the fire from the outside. The building is a total loss. BILL LACKEY/STAFF
