Winfield Dixon, 3, was pretending to be a flying ace in a pedal plane Saturday at the 2021 Barnstorming Carnival at the Springfield Beckley Airport. The seventh annual event, that continues Sunday, celebrated the planes a pilots that traveled the U.S. in the 1920's and 30's selling rides and thrilling communities with daredevil stunts. The carnival also featured food trucks, a cruise-in and fun activities throughout the day for kids. BILL LACKEY/STAFF
