The driver of a mini van was killed after it struck a Springfield Township medic unit on a call head on in the 1800 block of South Burnett Road Monday, July 22, 2024. The two Springfield Twp. medics on board the squad suffered non life-threatening injuries. A third SUV was also involved. The two passengers in the SUV were treated at the scene and released. South Burnett Road was closed for several hours in both directions. BILL LACKEY/STAFF
