Ohio State Highway Patrol names 2020 Trooper of the Year

The Ohio State Highway Patrol has named Trooper Dorian S. Byers of the Marysville Post as the 2020 Trooper of the Year.

“The selection of Trooper Byers is in recognition of outstanding service during 2020 at the Marysville Post,” according to a release. “Fellow officers stationed at Marysville Post chose Trooper byers based on leadership abilities, professional ethics, courteous treatment of others, enthusiastic work attitude, and cooperation with supervisors, peers, and the public.”

Byers recently served as a field training officer at the Springfield Post. He joined the OSHP in 2016, and has earned the physical fitness and safe driving awards.

Byers, a Graham Local Schools graduate, lives in Springfield with his wife, Maggie, and their children, Ezekiel and Titus.
