“I am deeply honored and grateful for this opportunity to serve the Northeastern Local School District community in a greater capacity,” Bigham said. “Throughout my career, my goal has always been to positively impact the students’ lives, and I am thrilled that this new role will allow me to further contribute to the growth and success of our students at a broader level.”
Bigham began her career at Northstar Christian Academy in 1998, then later served as a substitute teacher at South Vienna Elementary School and Cedar Cliff Local Schools.
Since 2015, she has been an educator at Northeastern Elementary and then Middle School, “where she championed student success in Language Arts, nurtured young writers through the Power of the Pen program, and championed a spirit of service through student activities.”
Bigham also contributed to committees that shaped the new school playground, revamped grade cards, participated in leadership development programs, trained at Smekens Education conferences, participated in the Teacher Leadership Academy and served on the Middle School Site Review committee.
“We are truly fortunate to have Mrs. Bigham join our leadership team as the new assistant principal,” said principal Zack Dobbelaere. “Her extensive experience, dedication, and ability to inspire students and fellow educators make her an ideal fit for this role. Her leadership will greatly enhance our school community as we work together to provide our students the best education and environment.”
Bigham holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a master’s in Education focusing on Special Education from Roberts Wesleyan College, and earned her principal licensure from the University of Cincinnati.
She lives in Cedarville with her husband, Bill, and has four children, two boys and two girls, as well as their soon-to-be-son-in-law.
