3 men indicted in September shooting at Springfield Quality Inn now in custody

Three men wanted in connection to a shooting at the Quality Inn in Springfield in September are currently in the Clark County Jail.

Chad Foland, 39; Juan Reyes Jr., 24; and Dylan Johnson, 19 were indicted on charges of attempted murder, aggravated robbery and felonious assault, according to court records.

The charges stem from Sept. 15, when police were dispatched to the Springfield Regional Medical Center on a report of a gunshot victim.

Police said in an affidavit that video surveillance footage showed the shooting victim getting into a Jeep in the hotel parking lot, getting out and retrieving a bag from his own car, then getting back in the Jeep before leaving the Jeep around half an hour later, appearing to be injured.

The victim told police he met three males in the Jeep, later identified as Foland, Reyes and Johnson. According to the affidavit, the victim said Reyes struck him in the head with a pistol, after which Johnson grabbed the victim by the coat and fired two shots that hit the victim in the torso. Foland was identified as the driver of the Jeep, the affidavit said.

The three men were indicted Sept. 22, when a warrant was issued for each.

The next court date is not listed on the Clark County Jail website, but lists a bail amount of $100,000 for Foland and Johnson. The jail site lists Reyes' bail amount as $150,000.
