Man shot in Springfield, taken to hospital

A man is in the hospital after being shot in Springfield late Wednesday.

Emergency crews were called at 11:39 p.m. to the 1700 block of South Fountain Avenue on a report that a man had been shot, according to Springfield Police Division records.

Officers found a man with two gunshot wounds to his abdomen and one to his left thigh, the police report stated.

The man was transported to Springfield Regional Medical Center, and later was flown by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.

Police said that there are currently no suspects in the shooting.
