The man who was killed last week in a house on South Light Street has been identified as Chad Fent, 22, of Springfield, according to the Clark County Coroner’s Office.

Fent’s funeral services have been set for noon Tuesday with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. at Richards, Raff & Dunbar Memorial Home, 838 E. High St. in Springfield.

“He loved his family more than life, was a stranger to no one and spread love to all,” according to his obituary.

Fent was pronounced dead after being shot multiple times inside a Springfield house, according to a report from the Springfield Police Division.

Officers were dispatched the night of Oct. 20 to the 500 block of South Light Street on a report of a man, identified as Fent, being shot, according to the police report.

When police arrived, they met with a woman who said Fent was shot inside the residence.

“Officers entered the residence and found Fent with multiple gunshot wounds to his leg and upper torso,” the report stated.

Medics arrived on scene and started Fent, who was pronounced dead by medics while still inside the residence.

Officers said the shooting is being investigated as a homicide, but there are no suspects at this time.
