All students who traveled over spring break, those who live in on-campus housing and student-athletes who are not competing in spring sports are asked not to return to campus until March 23.

Students who have an immediate need to return to campus to get essential items must contact housing@wittenberg.edu or 937-327-7800 for assistance.
“For students on a University meal plan who receive authorization to stay on campus, meals will be provided,” Frandsen said. “Health and counseling services will also continue, and professional residence life staff will be present.”
The university is restricting attendance at indoor athletic contests to immediate family members, but there are no restrictions to spectators attending outdoor events.
The university is also reviewing all upcoming events to determine if they need to be postponed or altered, and will re-evaluate policies on a week-by-week basis.

“We recognize that this is a crucial time for our community, our state, and our world,” Frandsen said. “This is also a fluid situation, which we will continue to monitor with vigilance.”
Gov. Mike DeWine said Tuesday afternoon that he is recommending colleges and universities screen students returning from international travel or cruise ships, eliminate international travel, cancel or postpone university-sponsored travel and large meetings, and move toward online or remote learning.
Before this announcement, and in light of the coronavirus outbreak, local universities have already been stressing the importance of good hygiene and many have canceled large events or international trips out of precaution.
