The Fair at New Boston is 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the George Rogers Clark Heritage Association, 936 S. Tecumseh Rd. in Springfield.
Attendees will relive the time period between 1790 and 1820 with entertainers, reenactors, food vendors, and merchants. There will be a slack rope walker, battles on the hill, and craftspeople creating their goods.
Admission for children ages 5 and under are free, children ages 6-10 are $3, active military with an ID are $7, and adults are $10. Tickets are available online at www.fairatnewboston.org. Parking is free.

2. Gun show
The C&E Gun show is 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday at the Clark County Fairgrounds, 4401 South Charleston Pike in Springfield.
This event will feature a variety of guns including handguns and rifles. Several dealers will be available to help attendees find what they are looking for.
Admission for adults is $9 and children ages 12 and under are free. If an attendee pays for Saturday, the attendee can attend on Sunday for free with a hand-stamp.

3. Labor of Love
Labor of Love hosted by Clark County SPCA, Clark County Dog Shelter, Syd and The Jimmy Hudson Band, and Mother Stewart’s Brewing Co. is 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday at Mother Stewart’s Brewing Co., 102 W. Columbia St. in Springfield.
The event will feature vendors, adoptions, a silent auction, shirts, music, food, and beer. Microchips and dog licenses will be available as well.
The silent auction will be 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Syd and The Jimmy Hudson Band will perform at 7 p.m.
Mother Stewart’s Brewing Co. is dog friendly and there is no admission fee.

4. Memorial Show
The Fallen Horseman Memorial Horse Show, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Champions Center, 4122 Laybourne Rd. in Springfield, is a way to honor the horsemen, women, and children who have impacted the equine industry.
There will be an all breed open horse show and several different divisions for all ages to compete in. Cash prizes will be awarded.

5. Farmers market
The Springfield Farmers Market, 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the Heritage Center Museum, 117 S. Fountain Ave. in Springfield will feature more than 35 vendors, live music, food trucks, and cooking demos.
Admission is free.
