Wake the Lake 3 has started with more than 20 powerboats competing at the Clark County Fairgrounds, 4401 S. Charleston Pike, in Springfield.
Gates open at 1 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. Tickets will be sold at the gate Saturday and Sunday. Admission is $15 for adults. Children 12 and under are free.
Saturday will feature boat races during the day, followed by an evening concert. The concert is included with the purchase of an admission ticket. Sunday will be the boating finals. Food vendors will be on-site throughout the weekend.

2. #DAYTONSTRONG Benefit Concert
Rockland Entertainment, 6001 Lower Valley Pike, in Springfield will host a benefit concert 2 p.m. Saturday to 1 a.m. Sunday.
The benefit concert is for the victims and families of the mass shooting early last Sunday morning in Dayton’s Oregon District.
There will be no cover charge, but organizers request that attendees make a donation.
The concert will feature 14 bands, music artists, and DJs, dancing, 50/50 raffles, and other prizes.

3. Gearhead Fest 2019
Gearfest 2019 will feature a car show and auto fest 1-6 p.m. Saturday at RC Enterprises, 4433 Spence Rd., in Springfield. The after party will be 6-8 p.m.
To register a vehicle, a $20 fee will be due on the day of the event. Spectators cost is $5 per car load with the after party included.
Spectators can expect a Subie Swarm Showcase, low car limbo, big wheel gymkhana, loud exhaust competition, music by Dynamic DJs, a live performance by Hasting & Co., and a mini food truck rally.

4. Summer Sky Festival
The Summer Sky Family Fun Festival will be 1-5 p.m. Saturday at the Heritage Center of Clark County, 117 S. Fountain Avenue, in Springfield.
The festival will feature a petting zoo, inflatables, animals from the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery, face paint, a puppet show, crafts, games, carriage rides, music and more.
