5 things Clark, Champaign residents need to know today about coronavirus

Here are five things Clark and Champaign residents need to know about COVID-19, or coronavirus today.

1. Clark County has one testing site for coronavirus, which is located in the emergency department of Mercy Health - Springfield Regional Medical Center. Coronavirus tests must be requested by a doctor.

2. A Bethel Township man has tested positive for coronavirus. He is in his 70s and was living at an assisted living facility in Miami County. Nearly 20 other residents, staff and visitors at the facility are now considered potential cases, according to health officials in Clark and Miami counties.

3. Local restaurants are handing out rolls of toilet paper with orders to help fill the toilet paper void.

4. Burger King is offering free kids meals while schools are closed. For every adult meal purchased, Burger King will offer two free kids meals.

5. Mercy Health has opened a 24/7 COVID-19 Hotline at 888-700-9011. This hotline is dedicated to answering coronavirus-related questions and to help guide residents on the next steps if they are showing possible symptoms or may have had an exposure to someone diagnosed with a positive case of COVID-19.
