Springfield Then & Now: Palace Café and Restaurant

The Palace Hotel, located on the southwest corner of Fountain Avenue and Washington Street, was built in 1885 by Robert Flack Sr. This photo from around 1900 shows Palace Café and Restaurant and the 1876 Central Engine House to the left. Today, Fountain Avenue doesn't intersect with Washington Street and the main branch of the Clark County Library is in the location.
