1. Initial reports indicated a woman was allegedly being held by a man against her will after a domestic dispute, according to police. She texted a friend, who then called Springfield Police.
2. The man, identified by police as Matthew Dufner, allowed the woman to leave the house, shortly after police arrived, according to officials. Dufner reportedly had guns and refused to come out of the house, according to police.
3. Dufner was found in the basement and forced out of the house after the SWAT team fired tear gas into the home, Springfield Police Division Sgt. Nick Holt said.
4.. He is known to police and wanted on at least three warrants that carry several charges, including two for domestic violence and one for weapons possession as a felon, according to Holt.
5. Dunfer is being treated for a medical issue unrelated to his arrest and will be booked at the Clark County Jail after being released, Holt said.
