Police scanner traffic said the pedestrian was crossing the street when he was struck by the vehicle.
“He was at fault,” Byron said. “The pedestrian was in the street.”

A Domino’s worker told News Center 7 that the victim was a regular customer. The worker reported seeing the victim being thrown at least six feet into the air after being struck.
A customer at Domino’s called police, according to the worker.
When police arrived, the man was transported to Springfield Regional Medical Center.
“He had injuries for treatment, but he was alert and conscious,” Byron said.
The extent of the injuries were not immediately available.
No charges have been filed and an update on the pedestrian was unavailable Monday afternoon.
