Silfex was founded in Preble County and builds silicon components for everything from computer processors to cell phones to cars. The firm also grows silicon crystals at its existing plant in Eaton and will perform similar functions in Springfield.
The company is looking to fill a variety of positions, including engineers, machinists, crystal growing technicians, quality inspectors and shipping and receiving clerks.
The job fair is free and open to the public. Those interested in applying are asked to bring three copies of a resume and be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.

The company is rehabilitating a facility at 1000 Titus Road, a formerly vacant 350,000-square-foot warehouse near the PrimeOhio Industrial Park that previously housed the former Thirty-One Gifts plant. Silfex officials have said their goal is to convert it into a high-tech manufacturing plant that makes silicon products for a variety of markets by January.
