Lt. Brian Aller with the Ohio State Highway Patrol said that the crash is classified as an “assured clear distance” crash.

Ohio’s assured clear distance ahead law requires a driver to keep the motor vehicle under control to be able to stop if necessary, according to the Ohio Revised Code.
