October is typically the best month to look for a job according to LinkedIn.
This month typically has the most job postings because hiring managers like to hire and train new employees before the holidays and the end of the year, LinkedIn says.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment in the retail industry increases October through December, followed by a decrease in January and February.
Here is a list of retail places in Springfield with job postings:
1. UPS, 2071 N. Bechtle Ave., is looking for part-time package handlers.
2. ALDI, 2091 N. Bechtle Ave., is looking for cashiers, stockers, and warehouse associates.
3. Marshalls, 1608 N. Bechtle Ave., is looking for merchandise associates.
4. Pet Smart, 1705 N. Bechtle Ave., is looking for seasonal associates and early morning stockers.
5. Bath & Body Works, 1475 Upper Valley Pike, is looking for seasonal associates.
Other places in Springfield hiring: Kohl's, Dollar Tree, Kroger, HoneyBakedHame, and GameStop.
Hiring event: Kohl's stores will hold a national hiring event 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. Job candidates can walk-in, apply, and receive an interview.
