Springfield businesses offering seasonal employment

Black Friday is only two months away and Springfield businesses are looking for seasonal employees.

The holiday shopping season is described as a “make or break” period that defines a company’s net profits, according to the U.S. Department of Labor.

The increase in sales during this time period, increases the need of employees.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment in the retail industry increases October through December, followed by a decrease in January and February.

Here is a list of places in Springfield offering seasonal employment: 

1. Best Buy, 1709 N. Bechtle Ave., is looking for inventory/merchandising specialists and customer experience specialists.

2. Kohl's, 1600 N. Bechtle Ave., is looking for stockroom operations associates and retail sales associates.

3. Big Lots!, 205 E. Leffel Lane, is looking for store associates and stockers.

4. Visual Anatomy Chocolates is looking for chocolate makers.

5. Ollie's Bargain Outlet, Inc., 1510 Upper Valley Pike, is looking for sales associates.
