Restaurant in COhatch holds soft opening today, Saturday

Crust & Company, a new restaurant in COhatch The Market, is holding a soft opening 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. today and tomorrow.

“Be patient with us as we learn the ins and outs of production in the new kitchen,” Crust & Company said in a post on their Facebook page.

During the soft opening, they will serve pizza only. Walk-in orders and credit cards will be accepted at this time.

Crust & Company will be the third European-style eatery in the area opened by Dan and Lisa Freeman in less than two years.

The Springfield couple owns Le Torte Dolci Bakery and Salato Deli on North Fountain Avenue.

All three businesses offer food based on their travels to Italy and other countries like France and Switzerland.

“We combined our love of travel with the ways Europeans handle food and with the passion for creating food,” Lisa Freeman said.

They plan to serve baked bread in the morning and fresh pizza for lunch and dinner at Crust & Company.

COhatch, a Columbus-based company offering a variety of co-working options, private offices, event space, and restaurants, is located at 101 S. Fountain Ave.

Crust & Company will be one of six vendors featured in the market portion of the building that includes Cork + Board, Fresh Abilities, Ironworks Waffle Cafe, North High Brewing, and The Painted Pepper.

The Facebook post said Crust & Company will announce next week’s operating hours on Sunday on their Facebook page.
