UPDATE @ 3:50 p.m.: 

A death investigation is underway at an Urbana home, but police do not believe the death is suspicious, according to Urbana Police Chief Matt Lingrell.

The person who died was unattended, Lingrell said, and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation was requested to complete the investigation.

At this time, police do not consider the death suspicious, Lingrell said.

We’re working to learn more about an apparent police investigation on North Main Street in Urbana.

Multiple witnesses have contacted this news outlet, reporting a heavy police presence in the 1000 block of North Main Street. Reports indicate several Urbana police vehicles and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation are on scene.

Urbana police dispatchers declined to release any details on the nature of the investigation.

Initial reports indicate police have been on scene since around 10 a.m. Tuesday.
