Robert Kenneth Boulware-Faison III, 29, was identified as the suspect, Springfield police Sgt. Cassidy Cantrell confirmed Friday night.
Boulware-Faison is held without bond in the Clark County Jail, and likely will be arraigned Monday in Clark County Municipal Court. He is facing aggravated burglary, tampering with evidence and weapons charges, jail records show.
Police responded shortly after 8 a.m. to reports of a person shooting into the duplex.
The other side of the duplex was evacuated, and police blocked the area of West Perrin Avenue and South Center Boulevard to traffic.

Springfield police’s Special Response Team was called, and around 12:30 p.m. the tactical team fired rounds of tear gas inside. Shortly after, the man surrendered and came outside.
Police took the man into custody and then entered the duplex.
There were no reports of injuries.
