Steve Hess, who was first elected onto county commission in 2000, defeated political newcomer and certified prevention specialist Stacey Logwood. The unofficial final election results showed Hess with about 63% of the vote to Logwood’s 37%.
However, fellow incumbent David Faulkner was defeated by primary challenge and Goshen Twp. Trustee Tim Cassady. Faulkner secured roughly 44% of the vote while his opponent won with about 56%, according to final, but unofficial elections results from the Champaign County Board of Elections.

Faulkner was first elected as a county commissioner in 2012 and was reelected in 2016 after defeating then primary challenge Doug Hoffman.
