An opening reception will be 5:30-7 p.m. Saturday, July 28 at the museum.
The exhibition will feature 30 oil on panel and oil on canvas paintings that convey complex landscapes through elemental geometric forms.
There are no figures in the works, which allows the viewer to place themselves in the work.
“It’s a fresh approach to landscape painting with nice use of light and color that helps you relate to nature,” said Museum Curator Erin Shapiro.
Koeller has taught at the University of Dayton and Wright State University and her works reside in the Ohio Supreme Court, Ohio Governor’s Residence in Columbus, Miami Valley Cultural District in Dayton and Kettering Medical Center.

“It’s wonderful to feature such a talented local artist,” said Shapiro. “Her work also fits in with some of our other botany, landscape exhibitions.”
A similar-themed exhibition will complement “The Woods in Color.” “Spirits, Illusions & Discoveries: Photographs by Doug McLarty” will have botanical designs and floral combinations when it opens on Sept. 14 in the Chakeres Gallery.
“The Woods in Color” will be on display through Dec. 14 during regular museum hours.
Other current exhibitions include the 72nd Annual Juried Members’ Exhibition, “Sharri Paula Phillips: Marvelous Journeys” and “Curious by Nature: Works by Charley and Edie Harper.”
