Mercy Health — Springfield has announced a new Chief Financial Officer.

Jenelle Zelinski will now serve as Chief Financial Officer for Mercy Health — Springfield. She started her new role this week.

Zelinski assumes the role from Bill Kusnierz, who was promoted to Chief Financial Officer for Mercy Health’s Bon Secours’ Greenville, South Carolina market.

As CFO, Zelinski will serve as the steward of the financial assets of the Springfield market.

“Jenelle joined Mercy Health in 1989 and has been an integral part of the Springfield market’s success. She has served in various finance and accounting roles, including finance director and as assistant chief financial officer for the past six years,” said Eric Smith, Chief Financial Officer for Bon Secours Mercy Health’s Mid-American Group. “She known Bon Secours Mercy Health and our finance team well.”

Smith said given her tenure and experience, Zelinkski is, “ready to assume market responsibility.”

A native of Arcanum, Ohio, Zelinkski earned her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Wright State University before starting her career with Mercy Health.
