Maybe Tom Petty said it best: “The waiting is the hardest part.”

Summer Arts Festival goers won’t have to wait to get in the mood to hear music on nine dates with the return of the Live on the Terrace pre-show entertainment before the evening’s headliners at the Turner Pavilion west terrace.

Live on the Terrace is sponsored by Benjamin Steel Co and Beach Manufacturing Co.

“This is a fun way for us to showcase local talent that ties into the style of show we’re presenting that night,” said Tim Rowe, Springfield Arts Council executive director. “Some have a track record with us and others give the series variety.”
