Tests will be free for patients at the new testing site in the Kettering College parking lot on the campus of Kettering Medical Center, 3535 Southern Blvd., Kettering.

Hours will be 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Thursday, April 23, through Saturday, April 25.

There will be other testing sites through the end of May to be announced later in connection to this partnership, said Erin Rolfes, Kroger corporate affairs manager for the Cincinnati/Dayton division.

“When Kroger Health asked us to partner with them on COVID-19 testing sites, it really was an easy decision, as there is a great need for more testing sites in southwest Ohio,” Fred Manchur, CEO and president of Kettering Health Network, stated in a release. “Kroger Health and Kettering Health Network are committed to promoting the health and well-being of our community. During this pandemic, one of the greatest needs is for increased access to testing. We are joining together to address that need.”

Community members can register at http://krogerhealth.com/covidtesting.

Test results are expected within approximately 48 hours and will be communicated by Kroger Health. The Kroger Health testing site at the Kettering Medical Center campus will handle approximately 330 tests per day.

There are two other area testing sites, including one at the University of Dayton Arena in partnership with Premier Health and CompuNet, and at Wayne HealthCare in Greenville.
