>> Raising Cane's breaks ground on 3rd Dayton-area restaurant, sets opening
Jones told this news outlet today, March 5, that the timetable for the reopening of the Springfield IHOP at 2206 N. Bechtle Ave. has not been set, but applications are being accepted for all positions. Those applications are available at the Miller Lane IHOP, and are also available online at indeed.com, Jones said.

The Miller Lane and soon-to-be-Springfield IHOP’s franchise owner has no connection to the franchisee who operated the three IHOP restaurants in Beavercreek, Huber Heights and Springfield, that shut down abruptly and were padlocked in January 2019.

The Butler Twp. and Springfield IHOPs are operated by The Nazarian Group, which oversees 10 IHOP restaurants in the Cincinnati-area market and several more in the Houston area, as well as some other restaurant concepts in southern California.
There has been speculation in Huber Heights that the former IHOP at 7611 Old Troy Pike might be reopened under the new franchise ownership, but city officials say they have not received any confirmation or solid plans for a reopening.
Jones declined comment on the potential locations of any additional IHOP restaurants in the Dayton area beyond the Springfield re-opening.

IHOP operates multiple restaurants in the Columbus and Cincinnati areas, but its Dayton-Springfield area presence has been more turbulent. The Dayton area had multiple IHOP locations in the 1970s and 1980s, but those restaurants closed about three decades ago.
A franchisee and area developer brought IHOP back to the Dayton-Springfield area starting with the October 2015 opening of a restaurant along North Fairfield Road in Beavercreek, followed by the Springfield and Huber Heights openings. The chain did not fully explain why all three locations shut down unexpectedly in January 2019, other than to say that the former franchise owner was "unable to continue operating."
A potential fourth location on Benchwood Road in Vandalia was built and outfitted as an IHOP, but never opened as an IHOP.
