Independence Day is a federal holiday celebrating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence.

Some offices, businesses and restaurants serving Springfield and Clark County residents are closed July 3, the federal observance, through the weekend.

Below is a list of what is open and closed:

Federal Offices

All federal offices are closed Friday .

City Offices

All Springfield City offices are closed Friday.

County Offices

All Clark County offices are closed Friday. The title office is also closed Saturday.

Courts

Clark County courts are closed Friday.

Health District

The Clark County Combined Health District is closed Friday.

Mailing Services

The United States Postal Service will deliver mail Friday, but is closed Saturday.

UPS is open Friday and closed Saturday.

FedEx is open Friday and closed Saturday.

Libraries

The Clark County Public Library is closed Friday and Saturday. The library will open for normal business hours on Sunday.

Banks

Keybank, Security National Bank, PNC Bank, Fifth Third Bank and Huntington Bank locations are open Friday. The banks are closed Saturday.

Restaurants

Fratelli’s in Springfield is closed through Tuesday, July 7. The Italian restaurant will open at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 8.

Guerra’s Krazy Taco in Springfield is closed through Tuesday, July 7. The restaurant will open at 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 8.

Le Torte Dolci is closed through Monday, July 6. The bakery will open at 8 a.m. Tuesday, July 7.

Salato Deli is closed through Monday, July 6. The deli will open at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 7.

316 Tap & Barrel Grill is closed through Monday, July 6. The restaurant will open at 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 7.
