The event will be 4-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1 at the Hollenbeck Bayley Arts and Conference Center, 275 S. Limestone St. Admission is free; pre-registration is not required.
The expo is for people of all ages. With new health and wellness information coming out all the time, this is a place to get the latest as well as answers to everyday questions.

“We have a clinical side, but improving health and wellness is important too. Our passion is to make Clark and Champaign Counties healthier places,” said Joy Rogers, Community Health Foundation executive director. “We have so many great partners and sponsors that make this event no cost and wide open to the public.”
Always a popular part of the expos, individual health screenings will be ramped up with 21 offerings, from blood pressure and blood glucose to depression and anxiety to Narcan training.
A mental wellness room will have professionals available to talk about mental health or wellness issues. The Springfield Family YMCA will do health assessments. Those interested should wear comfortable clothes and shoes that are easy to move in.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their lists of medications as several pharmacists-in-training can offer advice. A mobile mammography unit offering breast cancer screenings will be available through appointments by calling 937-523-9332 in advance.

For the youngsters, early intervention experts will have developmental screenings for children from birth to age 3.
New features include an oxygen bar and hand massages which can relax attendees and a free photo booth. Community Health Foundation strives to bring in fresh things such as these along with bringing back popular ones.
“We try to stay abreast of trends and get new exhibitors and trainings that can give another perspective,” said Joan Elder, Community Health Foundation program coordinator.
Demonstrations in the exhibit hall include hip hop to rockin’ to the oldies and seated yoga to refit revolution. The grand hall will feature more than 60 exhibitors with free healthy food samples and information.
Also offered for free at the event is the updated sixth edition of the Health Resource Guide for Clark and Champaign Counties. The guide is published every other year with the latest and most updated information on everything health-related, including a little more on elder care and everything else from birth to death.
“We hope everyone will stop in and learn something new and have a good time,” Rogers said.
