Wilder’s only employee is Bob Leath.
The men met years ago when they worked together at CFA Networks. Then Wilder moved on to Honeywell, where he became their network administrator for three years.
“At CFA, I worked in outbound network engineering and was part of a global IT team at Honeywell,” he said. “I’ve been in the business for 15 years, spending the last 8 1/2 as a server administrator and providing user support.”
Leath took over CFA’s repair business, which eventually became My PC Repair. That business evolved into Buckeye when Leath dissolved the partnership and approached Wilder.
“This was the team I’d been hoping to assemble for quite some time,” Leath said.
The biggest change is that Leath is no longer an owner. He’s now the employee, a change he welcomes, he said.
The goal for both is providing unmatched customer service, and between them they have a depth of experience.
Leath’s focus is individual and in-home, viruses and hard drive crashes service while Wilder’s strengths lie in serving business clients.
Wilder is certified in CompTIA A+, CompTIA Net+ and is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. He also has experience with system security and wireless applications on a larger scale.
“There’s not much I haven’t had experience with,” he said.
Personal computer service is offered at a flat rate of $79, plus any parts. Home visits are $99 per hour; pick-up and delivery is available for $20.
For businesses, the hourly rate is $99; bundles can be purchased at a discount.
Wilder and Leath already have expansion ideas percolating, including an in-house help station for one-on-one services and instructional seminars.
“We can take care of most anything including remote access and support, software installation, sales and service,” Wilder said. “We want to do the right thing for the end user, follow best practices and offer a good price.”
